Elizabeth A. Cooper, aged 80 years, 4 months, 23 days. Eleven months ago the father was taken away and now dear mother sleeps near his side. Our mother was born in the state of Kentucky, July 5, 1829, was converted when young, and joined the Missionary Baptist Church and was a beloved member to the day of her death. Her body was laid beside her companion and husband, William H. Cooper, in the Missionary Baptist Cemetery one half mile west to Shell Knob where they will await the call which we will all hear and obey. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Ed Chappell of Mano on Sunday, Jan 2. The service included both father and mother, Text, Revelations 14:13 "And I heard a voice from Heaven saying unto me, write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth yes, said the Spirit, that they may rest from their labors and their works do follow them." Our loving father and mother leave ten of us children living, and while we feel our earthly loss we rest assured of Heaven's gain, and we can not do anything that would show our love for them better than try to serve the God that spared their lives so long on this earth, the God they served and our God. May it be the will of that loving God to bless us and may we be an unbroken family around His throne. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who aided us during the illness and death of our father and mother.
