WASHBURN, Mo. — Minnie Davis, 79, of Washburn died April 14, 2007, at her home. She was born July 28, 1927, in Fairview, Mo., to Bert Abraham and Maud Margaret Lee Shockley. She attended school in Rocky Comfort. She was employed by Johnson's Variety Store in Cassville, Mo., for several years. She was a member of Washburn Church of Christ. Her interests included sewing, crocheting and playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.R. Davis, on Jan. 27, 1972.
Survivors include two sons, Gary Davis and wife Mary Jane of Cassville and Kevin Davis and wife Teresa of Verona, Mo.; one daughter, Mary Roller and husband, Russell of Washburn; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Wayne Shockley of Blue Springs, Mo., and Marvin Shockley of Wheaton, Mo.; two sisters, Myrtle Shelley of Wayne, Mo., and Irene Spears of Carthage, Mo.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at White Funeral Home in Cassville with Ken West officiating. Burial will be in Washburn Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Larry Roller, Craig Davis, David Shockley, Wes Shockley, Mike Shockley and Robert Shockley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ken Bishop, Bob Windes and Bob Smith.
