HUNTSVILLE — Donna Sherman Bond, 63, of Huntsville died Jan. 12, 2007, in Huntsville after a short battle with lung cancer. She was born April 17, 1943, in Hollywood, Calif., to Norman Dale and Doris Carnes Sherman. She had worked as a waitress most of her life. She had attended Christian Central Assembly in Joplin. She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Thomas; two brothers, Billy Dale Sherman and Clifford Ray Sherman and her fiancee, Jim Hively.
Survivors include two daughters, Doris Leppke and husband Wayne of Chanute, Kan., and Christina Fletcher and husband Larry of Huntsville; her stepmother, Nadine Sherman of Joplin, Mo.; three brothers, Tom Sherman of Beaver Dam, Wis., Jake Sherman of Pryor, Okla., and David Sherman of Joplin; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two stepbrothers, Bob Shaver and Dewey Shaver; two stepsisters, Martha Baker and Bernice Hicks.
Graveside services will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Tracy Cemetery near Anderson, Mo.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home in Springdale and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Tracy Cemetery Church in Anderson.
