Obituary:

Mrs. Fannie Cason died at the
home of her sister, Mrs. Sallie Farrar, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, Saturday at about midnight.
Her death was caused by a complication of diseases, the end being hastened
by a fall Mrs. Cason sustained.

Fannie *Rodgers was born in Boone
County 70 years ago, the daughter
of Samuel and Harriet Kennan, long
since deceased. Her mother Was a
Rodgers, and one of the pioneer settlers of this county. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sallie Farrar and Mrs. Kate Beitler, and one brother, James A. Kennan, of Brown's Station.

She was twice married. The first
time to Dr. Thomas Jewell Hardin, a brother
of the late {Charles Henry Hardin} Thomas (Typo) Hardin, Governor of Missouri. Her second marriage was with B. F. Cason, who preceded her to the grave also. She has been a member of the Presbyterian church since her early girlhood and lived a consistent member
all thru life.

Funeral services were conducted at
the home in Hot Springs by Rev. C.
E. Hickok, now pastor of the Presbyterian church in Hot Springs, who
was once pastor of her church in
Centralia, after which the body was
brought here and taken to Columbia
for burial in the old Jewell cemetery
a mile and a half southwest of Columbia, where other members of the family are buried.

Rev. Hickok accompanied the body
to its last resting place as both Mrs.
Farrar and her sister, Mrs. Beitler
are very ill at their homes.

Mrs. Cason will be kindly remembered
by many Centralians who met her or
knew her during her residence here
at the home of the late Ed H
Farrar, in the south part of town.
She was a woman of refinement and
education and was a loyal church
worker during the years of her health
and strength.

The Guard extends to the family
our deepest sympathy in their great
bereavement.

*This appears to be a typo as Rodgers was her mother's maiden name.
