Clara B. Mitchell, formerly of Willow Springs, aged 99, passed away 01 December 2019 at Mayfair Manor nursing home in Lexington, KY. She, a twin daughter, was born 23 February 1920 to Bessie Mae (McClellan) Keeler and Robert Jeptha Keeler at her parent's farm in Howell County, MO near Burnham.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Hassie Richards; four brothers: Marvin, Cecil, Robert Noble, and Lowell Sherman Keeler; two sons: Myrle Dean and Wayne Lynn Whitbey, as well as her husband of 43 years, Oral Woodrow “Woodie” Mitchell.
Clara was a member of the First Baptist Church of Willow Springs, MO.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and husband, Raymon Brown; grandchildren: Cheryl and husband, Steve Strunk, Angela Brown, Philip Brown and wife, Sonja Fetela all of Lexington, KY, Shanna and husband, Robert Graeff of St. Louis, MO; her great-grandchildren: Carolyn and husband, Malachi Pry, Jared Strunk, Katheryn Morrison all of Lexington, KY, and Rowan and Lydia, twin daughters of Shanna and Robert Graeff of St. Louis, MO.
Cremation by Smith & Smith Funeral Home of Lexington, KY with burial to be in the Willow Springs City Cemetery on Monday, February 24, 2020 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Joel Hinds officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Willow Funeral Home, LLC.
