Dies of Erysipelas. Joseph Day, aged 54 years, died at 9:20 o'clock yesterday morning at the home of Foster Hurley at 1058 Cedar street, where he had been making his home for some time past. Death was caused by erysipelas. Burial occurred at the county farm, two miles south of this city, this afternoon.

DEATH AT COUNTY FARM
Two Died Saturday - Half the Inmate Have Influenza - The epidemic of influenza is raging at the county farm, more than half of the 115 residents being ill with the disease now. There have been five deaths recently as a result of the disease. Joseph F. [sic] Dent, 83 years old, passed away about noon Saturday, following an illness of several weeks from influenza. He was born February 14, 1845 in Virginia. He was a bachelor. Carthage Evening Press
