W.F. Cecil died March 4, 1976, at Orange Memorial Hospital at Orlando, Fla. He was born February 20, 1920, in Steele to Clarence Cecil and the late Alpha Brant Cecil.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 9, at 3:30 p.m. at the Dean Funeral Home Chapel in Caruthersville. The Rev. Carl Frame of Morehouse, Mo., officiated.
In addition to his father, Mr. Cecil leaves one son, Charles Cecil of Kissemmie, Fla.; one daughter, Jeanett Gardenhire of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers: Sammy Joe Cecil of Lutz, Fla., and Jackie Cecil of Sikeston; one half sister, Opal Brown of Gary, Ind.; and three grandchildren.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with the Dean Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge of arrangements.
