Funeral services for Nellie JoAnn Phillips, 29, were held at the Methodist church in steele Sunday, December 3, 1967. Rev. Charles Miller officiated.
Burial was at Mount Zion cemetery with John W. German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Phillips was born December 19, 1937, in Osceola, Ark., and died November 30, 1967 at her home in Steele. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Webb of Steele. She was united in marriage to William "Pete" Phillips in December, 1957.
Pallbearers were Clayburn Hicks, Eddie Gilbert, Jerry Gibson, Eldridge Gray, Eddie Rinehart and Johnnie Carter.
She leaves her husband, "Pete" Phillips and four daughters: Donna, Annette, Judy and Ruth Phillips, all of the home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Webb of Steele; three brothers, Hammie Pope, Cape Kennedy, Fla., William Curtis Webb, Tucson, Ariz.; and Thomas Webb, Steele; and two sisters: Mrs. Mary Ellen Decker, and Mrs. Lavada Holder, both of Steele.
