Ted S. Harris, son of the late John Ed and Olive Street Harris, was born near West Plains, Missouri, August 12th, 1906. He entered into rest March 12th, 1972 at the age of sixty-five years.

On September 8th, 1926, in Doniphan, Missouri, Mr. Harris was married to Willie Agnes Campbell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Campbell. He spent his entire life in this area where he was engaged in farming and construction.

Surviving is the wife Agnes of the family home, and three children, Winifred Harris, T.E. Harris, and Louise Callahan, all of West Plains. Also, surviving are 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 4 brothers and sisters who are Doyle Harris, Veta Morgan, both of West Plains, Clifford Harris, Mission, Kansas, and Wayne Harris, Independance, Missouri. There is a brother-in-law, Roy Lowe and a sister-in-law Mrs. Emma Harris of West Plains, surviving.

Preceding Mr. Harris in death are his parents, a son Sidney,3 brothers and 1 sister.

Mr. Harris was of the Christian faith and had been affiliated with the Spring Creek Methodist Church and was saved a number of years ago. He was a member of the Pioneer Saddle Club, of the Howell County Fox Hunters Association and had for 30 years served as a Director of the Rock Valley and Fairview School Boards. It was due to his influence that these schools as well as others combined and were reorganized as Fairview School.

With Reverends Howard Murphy and Lester Bradford, Mr. Harris was laid to rest in the Homeland Cemetery on Wednesday, March 15, 1972.
