Norman Presley Shriver, 91, son of William Wilson Shriver and Martha Ann Grogan Shriver, was born at Nagle. He died Oct. 13, 2000, at his home in the Nagle community.
He was a life-long resident of the Nagle area, where he attended school.
He married Ruth E. Wyrick Dec. 31, 1943. They had two children and were farmers. He was a member of the Christian church.
Mr. Shriver was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Arthur Shriver; and a sister, Alice Brewer.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years; a son, Darrell Shriver of Elk Creek; a daughter, Freda Marie Schmidt of Rolla; a brother, Carl Shriver of Casper, Wyo.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were Oct. 16 at the Nagle Christian Church with Gene McCoy officiating. Burial was in the Nagle Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home of Cabool.
