Charles Garlett, a resident of the Elk Creek community for 43 years, passed away Tuesday at the Texas County Memorial Hospital.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Manes and Mrs. Fern Glenn, both of Elk Creek; two brothers, two sisters, six grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from Steely Chapel near Elk Creek with Mrs. Sadie Miles officiating. Burial will be in Steely Chapel cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home.
