Jessie Willard "Bill" Ham died May 25, 1976 at Pemiscot Memorial Medical Center in Hayti at the age of 61.

He was born March 6, 1915 to the late Milton L. and Alice Fisher Ham at Cooter. He had retired and moved to Steele seven months ago.

Funeral services were conducted Tursday, May 27, 1976 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home with the Rev. James F. McCrary officiating.

Mr. Ham leaves his widow, Dorothy Dyhouse Ham; two sons: Billy Ham, St. Charles, Mo., and David Ham, Steele; one step-daughter, Alice McCulley, St. Louis; one sister, Daisy Duff of Steele; five brothers, M.L. Ham, Morrilton, Ark.; L.J. Ham, Louisiana; earl Ham, Perryville, Mo.; John Ham, Blytheville; and Hubert Ham, Gobler; and nine grandchildren.

Interment was in Mount Zion Cemetery with the German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Calvin Ham, Leonard Ham, Britt Grice, Larry Gestring, Zelmer Lindsey and Joe Lindsey.

Mrs. Doretha V. Hamm, 70, of St. Louis, formerly of Steele, died May 21, 1994 at Lutheran Hospital in St. Louis. Born Aug. 27, 1923, she was the daughter of Lyman L. and Vera Hibler Dyhouse. She was the widow of Jessie Willard Ham and was also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by three sons, David Ham of Baldwyn, Miss., Billy Ham of Eolia, Mo., and Larry Owen of Liburn, Ga.; A daughter, Alice Robinson of St. Louis; A sister, Delma Rook of Owensville, Mo.; Nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were May 24 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery, the Rev. Thomas Zych officiating, Bradshaw's German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
