Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 28, 1984, at the Church of Christ in Steele for F.B. Grice, 49. Mr. Mark Raulerson and Mr. Joe Spangler officiated.

Full Military Honors were given by the Blytheville Air Force Base of Blytheville.

Mr. Grice was born August 16, 1934 at England, Ark. and died March 25, 1984 at Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti.

He was a retired Veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean Conflict. He served the city of Steele four years as Alderman. He was a past president of the Kiwanis Club and past president of the C.B. Club where he was known as "Uncle B."

He was the son of Debbie L. Gibbons Grice and the late Frank B. Grice.

He leaves his wife, Mrs. Alice Grice of the home; one son, Britt Grice stationed in Germany; mother: Mrs. Debbie Grice of Hornersville; one brother, Lonnie Grice of Gobler; and one granddaughter, Dawn Nicole Grice of Germany.

Honorary pallbearers were Tommy German, Millard Carter, Olan Johnson, Seabe Wright, Bobby Williams, Hubert Morris, Donald Weaver and James Carter.

Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Alice Mae Grice, 74, of Steele, died Saturday, August 16, 2008 at her home in Denton.

Born July 11, 1934 in Hillard, she is the daughter of the late Hubert and Bertha Douglas Ham.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Britt Grice, on June 29, 1999.

Alice was united in marriage to F. B. Grice on May 5, 1956. He preceded her in death on March 25, 1984.

She had worked at the Walls Hospital in Blytheville, Ark., and after many years as a caregiver for her husband, she later worked at Silver Dollar City in Branson, Mo. She had been President of the Steele Chamber of Commerce and remained to be active for several years.

She was a weekly volunteer at River Oaks Nursing Center in the beauty shop and was a member of the Steele Church of Christ.

Mrs. Grice leaves a very special niece and nephew who were her caregivers, June and Jimmy Morton, of Denton; two grandchildren: Dawn Bommarito and B. C. Grice, of Heber Springs, Ark.; one daughter-in-law, Debbie Grice Gilmer, of Heber Springs; four great-grandchildren: one sister, Wanda Lindsey, of Blytheville, Ark.; and one brother, Calvin Ham, of Denton.

Funeral services for Mrs. Grice were held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 18, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with John Mundy and Pastor Jey officiating.

Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.

Pallbearers were Rondal Grice, Adam Hamm, Tony Davis, Jason Lindsey, Joel Morton, Josh Morton and T. J. Davis.
