Funeral services for Ross E. Douglas were held Saturday, November 8, 1975, at 2:00 p.m. at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele with the Rev. Joe Smith officiating.

Douglas was born June 22, 1903 at Douglas, Mo., and died November 3, 1975, at St. Jopseh Hospital in Flint, Mich., at the age of 72.

He was a member of Grand Blanc Lodge F & AM No. 571 and Bay City Consistory. He was married to Lorene Wagster July 12, 1934, and retired from Chevrolet in 1965.

Douglas leaves his widow, Lorene Wagster Douglas, Burton, Mich., one daughter, Hazel Tennent, Cincinnatus, N. Y.; one son, Charles Lee Douglas, West Memphis; three sisters: Florence Owen and Agnes Fisher, both of Steele; and Lula Byrn, Cape Girardeau; 12 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Interment was in the Mount Zion Cemetery at Steele with John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Marshall Thomas, J. W. Neil, Guy Azbill, Hooper Azbill, Alvin Hawkins and Ted Fisher.

Lorene Ena Douglas, 92, of West Siloam Springs, Okla., died Thursday, March 30, 2000 at Quail Ridge Living Center.

Born October 28, 1907 in Tyler, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Wagster and Annie L. White Wagster. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ross E. Douglas in 1975.

She was a member of Grand Blanc Order of Eastern Star in Michigan and a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Cooter, Mo.

Mrs. Douglas leaves one son, Charles Douglas, of Siloam Springs; one daughter, Hazel Douglas Tennant, of Cinncinnatus, N.Y.; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and two sisters: Francis Azbill of Memphis, Tenn., and Alene Ryder of Hernando, Miss.

Funeral services for Mrs. Douglas wre held Saturday, April 1, 2000 at the Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs with Dr. Steve Abbott officiating. Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs was in charge.

Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 4, 2000 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Mo. Local arrangements were made by the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele.
