Gregory Aldridge, was born May 20, 1903, at Tyrone and died Jan. 2, 1970, at Bucyrus, making his age at time of death 66 years, seven months and 13 days.
Mr. Aldridge had spent most of his life in Texas County. He was a painter and for the past 13 years was employed at Ft. Leonard Wood.
He was a member of the Grandview Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Edna, of the home; two sons, Delbert of Imperial, Mo., and Denver of San Bernadino, Calif.; five stepsons, Wayne Hinkle, Carter Lake, La., Wesley Hinkle, Craig, Colo., Roger Hankie of San Diego, Calif., Don Harrison of Elk Creek and Edward Lee McBride of Kansas City; four daughters, Delia Dunnigan of Houston, Dessie Dunnigan of San Bemadino, Calif., Lillie Hammerschmidt of Eureka, Mo., and Lorene Earp of Success; four stepdaughters, Selma Coleman of Newburg, Mo.; Sandra Snyder and Diana French of Bucyrus; 27 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; his mother, Ollie Broadwater of Houston; one sister, Martha Culler of Cabool; three brothers, Joe Boster, Sherman Boster and Walt Boster. Funeral services were held at 2:30 Monday, Jan. 5, in the Evans-Elliott Chapel, with the Rev. Elmer Snyder officiating. Burial was in the Tyrone Cemetery.
