Joe J. Aldridge age 82, of Elk Creek, the son of Joseph Francis Aldridge, and Mary Elizabeth Jane Bellamy Aldridge passed away July 21, 1974 in the Kabul Nursing Home.
Mr Aldridge is preceded in death by his first wife, Lestle May Aldridge, his parents and one son.
He is survived by his wife, Burniece of the home near Tyrone. Four sons, Delmar, Oral, Bob and Paul Dean all of the Tyrone communiy. Three daughters Opal Marie Grogan of Yukon, Maxine Newberry of Rolla, MO and Vernetta Swartz of Tyrone.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Tyrone Assembly Church with the Rev. Herschel Shoemaker officiating. Burial was in the Tyrone Cemetery.

Burnice Evely, Aldridge, 61, daughter of Rufus Geisler and Leona Chambers Geisler, was born May 10, 1916 in Texas County, Mo. and died October 24, 1977 in Columbia, Mo.
She was united in marriage June 15, 1932 to Joe Aldridge and to this union four children were born. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and one child.
She is survived by three daughters, Vernetta Swartz of Houston, Maxine Newberry of Rolla and Marie Grogan of Yukon, Mo.; four sons, Delmar, Bob and Dean all of ElkCreek and Oral of Houston; two brothers, Andy Geisler of Fulton, Mo. and Chester of Pamar, Idaho; two sisters, Pearl Moore of Mtn. View, Mo. and Opal Leigh of Portland, Ore.; 19 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She spent many years of her life in the Tyrone community and belonged to the community club. She was correspondent to the Houston Newspapers from the Tyrone community. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Oct. 26 at the Tyrone Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Herchel Shoemaker officiating. Burial was in the Tyrone Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home of Houston. [From the Houston Herald]
