Mearl Lee Russell, the daughter of the late Robert and Dora Wheat Maynard, was born December 21, 1924 at Dora, Missouri. she entered into eternal rest December 12, 2004 at the age of seventy-nine years.
She received her education in the schools of Dora, Missouri and on June 11, 1941, was married at Walnut Ridge, Arkansas to William James (Bill) Russell who preceded her in death on October 29, 1983.
She had worked at International Shoe Company. Mrs. Russell loved to make quilts for all of her family and enjoyed fishing. She was a member of the Church of God.
Mrs. Russell is survived by her daughter-in-law, Linda Russell, West Plains, Missouri; one grandson, Jason Russell and wife, Leigh Ann, West Plains, Missouri; one great-granddaughter, JaLeigh Madison Russell; one brother, Sam Maynard and wife, Opal, West Plains, Missouri; one sister, Myrtle Thornton, Ellsworth, Kansas; one sister-in-law, Thelma Stultz, West Plains, Missouri; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Her parents, her husband, one son, Jim Russell, eight sisters, Mable Smith, Mauda Howard, Mary Owens, Bessie Eaton, Elizabeth Thomas, Marie Horch, Bobbie Johnson and her infant sister, Dorothy Maynard and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Hobert and Clara Russell preceded her in death.
