Funeral services for Ernestine L. Wilson, 75, West Plains, Mo., were Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at the Trinity Worship Center in West Plains under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wilson passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She went to eternal glory surrounded by her loving family. Ernestine Wilson was born March 16, 1937, in White Church, Mo., to Ralph O. Henry and Mary Hollis (Hendrix) Henry. She received her early education at White Church, Mo., graduating from the West Plains High School in 1954. She attended Cosmetology School in Springfield, Mo., and worked at the Arcade Beauty Shop in West Plains, Mo. On Feb. 26, 1960, she was married at Peace Valley, Mo., to Earl Dean Wilson, who survives. Mrs. Wilson worked as a file clerk at the Missouri Southern Bank and was a homemaker. She enjoyed classic car activities as a member of the West Plains Car Club. Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Trinity Worship Center in West Plains and the Auxiliary of Gideon's International holding numerous offices and camp level.
She is survived by her husband, Earl Dean Wilson, of the family home; two sons, Jerry D. Wilson, wife, Darlene, West Plains, Mo., and Danny l. Wilson, Wife, Stacey, West Plains, Mo.; grandchildren, Michael L. Wilson, wife, Rose, West Plains, Mo., Brendon Wilson, Kansas City, Mo., Keegan Wilson, West Plains, Mo., and Neal Wilson, state of Alabama; step-granddaughter, Chelsea Murrell, Koshkonong, Mo.; great-grandsons, Zack and Chase Wilson, West Plains, Mo.; one brother, Earl Henry, wife, Pam, Pomona, Mo.; one sister, Edna Kincheloe, West Plains, Mo.; one sister-in-law, Karen Henry, White Church, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
Her parents, Ralph and Hollis Henry, and one brother, Eldon Henry, precede her in death.
Burial was at the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
Although Mrs. Wilson was an avid flower lover, she had a desire to see people have a copy of God's Holy word. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Gideon's International and leave them at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. On line condolences may be expressed at robertsondrago.com.
