Funeral services for Margaret Elaine Hayes, 87, West Plains, will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 13, 2011 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hayes died 12:10 p.m., Tuesday, August 9, 2011 at the Ozarks Medical Center. She was born March 5, 1924 at Clarion, Iowa to John and Gladys Fisher Keeling. On August 29, 1942, she was married at Albert Lee, Minnesota to Lloyd Walter Hayes who preceded her in death on February 11, 2000. Mrs. Hayes, along with her husband, owned and operated Hayes Bargain City. She was of the Methodist faith.
She is survived by eight children, Shirley A. Wood, Donna L. Wood, Ronald J. Hayes, wife, Linda, James L. Hayes, wife, Eunice, Lloyd W. Hayes, Jr. and Jan, Debbie Hayes, all of West Plains, Billy D. Hayes, wife, Karen and Terry J. Hayes, wife, Laura, both of Pomona, Missouri; four brothers, Howard Keeling, wife, Lucille, Edward Keeling, wife, Angie, Lesley Keeling, wife, Jackie and Gene Keeling, wife, Sharon; two sisters, Florence Posekany and Charlotte Hansen, husband, Hershel; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Keeling, Donna Keeling and Lucille Keeling; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, three grandchildren, and five brothers precede her in death.
Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or Arthritis Foundation and may be left at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
