Funeral services for Ruby Frances Bell, 83, West Plains, Mo., were Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mrs. Bell died at 12:45 p.m., Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at West Vue Nursing Center in West Plains, Mo. She was born Sept. 24, 1928, at West Plains, Mo., to Henry and Edna Perry Crabtree. On July 10, 1948, she was married at Salem, Ark., to Roy Limuel Bell Sr., who preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2004. Before her retirement, Mrs. Bell had been a babysitter, worked at Amyx Industries, International Shoe Company and was a school bus driver for the R-7 School District. She liked to read, watch soap operas, babysitting for grandkids and others and being with her family; family and friends called her "Nanny." She is survived by three children, Faye Smith, Judy Ford, husband Robert, both West Plains, Mo., and Rhonda Bell, Fort Defiance, Ariz.; nine grandchildren, Vicki Smith, Lee Bell, wife, Cathy, Lisa Herring, husband David, Robin Pelc, husband Paul, Becky Lee, husband Keith, Denice Warden, husband Rollin, Rodney Ford, wife Candi, Amy Hunsucker, husband, Chris and Misty Bell; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clarence "Bud" Crabtree, West Plains, Mo.; one sister, Emogene Clevenger, West Plains, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Arthur Bell, Jr. West Plains, Mo., and several nieces and nephews. Her husband; one son, Roy Lee Bell; parents; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arthur and Ethel Bell; one son-in-law, Dan Smith; two sisters-in-law, Darlene Bell and Billie Jean Crabtree; and one nephew, Veryl Bell, precede her in death. Burial was in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
