1985 Poplar Bluff, Butler, MO
Melvin Eugene Welch, the son of the late Luther Grove and Kattie Hall Welch, was born June 16, 1926, in Steele and died June 30, 1985, in Poplar Bluff. Mr. Welch, 59, was a retired farmer and a veteran.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 2, 1985, 2 p.m., at German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele. Mr. Mark Raulerson officiated.
Mr. Welch leaves two brothers, Grover Welch and Earl Welch, both of Steele; and Three sisters: Evelyn Melton of Weldon, Ill., Dola Burton of Steele, and Lillian Holcomb of Steele.
One brother preceded him in death.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Parks, Michael Parks, Johnny Melton, J.L. Pearson, William Shubert and Ricky Welch.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
