Services were held June 17, 1985, for Alvin Luther Welch of rural Steele. He was born March 21, 1922, in Steele and died June 15, 1985 in Steele. He was the son of the late Luther Grover and Katie Hall Welch. Age 63, he was a retired farmer.
Funeral service was at German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel, Mr. Walter Lumpkin officiating.
He leaves three brothers, Melvin Welch, Grover Welch and Earl Welch, all of Steele.
Three sisters, Evelyn Melton of Weldon, Ill., and Dola Burton and Lillian Holcomb, both of Steele.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Parks, Jeffry Parks, John Melton, N.B. Melton, Ricky Welch and Gary Johns.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with arrangements by German-Aumn Funeral Home.
