Betty Sue Scott Fields died on June 28, 1998 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital, Hayti, Mo.
Her parents were Chester Scott and Elodie Crocker Scott. She had one older sister, Ruby Scott Blagg.
Betty lived in the Holland, Mo area where she attended school thru graduation. After graduation she, her parents and one sister moved to Caruthersville, Mo. She was a stenographer and later the Stenographer Supervisor of the Division of Family Services She was united in marriage to Harry James Fields on Aug. 9, 1967. They had one son, Brandon Scott Fields. She was proud of her granddaughter, Kelsey Fields.
She was a member of the Jesus Name Tabernacle Church in Caruthersville, Mo.


Scott Fields, 52, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Sunday, June 28, 1998 at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Mo.
Born September 5, 1945 in Holland, Mo., she is the daughter of Elodie Crocker Scott and the late Chester Scott.
Betty was united in marriage to Harry Fields on September 9, 1967 in Steele, Mo.
Of the Pentecostal faith, she was retired from the Division of Family Services where she worked as a caseworker for 32 years.
Mrs. Fields leaves her husband, Harry Fields, of Caruthersville; A son, Brandon Fields, of Monette, Ark.; Her mother, Elodie Scott, of Caruthersville; A sister, Ruby Blagg, of Caruthersville; and One granddaughter, Kelsey Fields, of Monette.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fields were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, 1998 at the Jesus Name Tabernacle Church in Caruthersville with Rev. John Stepp and Clifford Britt officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery with Bradshaw Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
