Harvey Allen Moore, 66, of Steele, died Monday, March 15, 2004 at his home.
He was the son of the late William Allen and Addie Lee Walters Moore. Also preceding him in death were two brothers, William Lee and John Henry Moore. He was united in marriage Sept. 1, 1976 to Christine Moore.
Harvey was a farmer, husband. father, grandfather and hard worker and will be dearly missed.
Moore leaves his wife, Christine Moore of Steele; two daughters, Lana Ann Whitehead and husband Jimmy of Steele, Lana Ann Jay and husband Tony of Steele; two brothers, J.C. Moore of Jackson, Tenn., Dennis Moore and wife Sue of Olive Branch, Miss.; two sisters, Margie Tosh and husband Jimmy of Hayti; Shirley Hollins of Steele; four grandchildren, Corey Lee Whitehead, Cody Lee Whitehead, Anthony Jay and Chad Allen Jay, all of Steele; and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 17 at the John W. German Funeral Home in Steele with Mr. Tim Howard officiating. Burial took place in the Mt. Zion Cemetery of Steele.
Pallbearers were Jim Stevens, Jimmy Whitehead, Jimmy Tosh, Larry Hollins and Floyd Jr. Murphy.
John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of services.

Christine Moore, 59, of Steele, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in Kennett.
Born April 8, 1949 in Dyess, Arkansas, she is the daughter of the late Chris Burse and Crickett May Wolford Burse. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Van Devener and four brothers, C.L. Burse, Allen Burse, Jessy Burse, and Elvis Burse.
Mrs. Moore leaves two daughters, Lana Whitehead and her husband Jimmy and Lora Jay and her husband, Chad; one sister, June Woods; four brothers: Junior Burse, Roy Burse, Danny Burse and Billy Burse; and four grandchildren: Cody Whitehead, Cory Whitehead, Anthony Jay and Chad Jay.
Funeral services for Mrs. Moore were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 22, at the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Bro. Mike Richards officiating.
Burial was at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Steele.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Whitehead, Chad Jay, Michael Ford, Junior Murphy, Jim Whitehead, and Steve Whitehead.
Honorary pallbearers were Cody Whitehead, Cory Whitehead and Anthony Jay.
