Funeral services for Doyle Ray Collins, 63, Olden, Mo., will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Collins died at 6 p.m., Saturday, June 13, 2009, at his home. He was born April 14, 1946, at Twin Bridges, Mo., to Larkin McKinley and Ida Blanche Roper Collins. On May 22, 1965, he was married at Salem, Ark., to Christina Faye Collins. Mr. Collins worked all his adult life in the logging and sawmill business until he no longer was able. He enjoyed reading, cock fighting and loved the outdoors and going hunting and fishing, when possible. Doyle was a loving husband, devoted father and a friend to all who knew him. He was loved with all our hearts and will be missed ever more He is survived by his wife, Christina Collins of the family home; eight children, Rodney Lynn Collins, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, Allisa Christine Collins of West Plains, Mo., Carmen Renae McCrone, husband, Jeff, of Birch Tree, Mo., Betty Lahoma Sweezer, husband, David, of Mexico, Mo., Freida Doylene Brott, husband, Randy, of Branson, Mo., Steven Collins of Willow Springs, Mo., Alfred Matthew Collins of Mountain View, Mo., and Bradley Aaron Collins, wife, Melissa, of Pomona, Mo.; 20 grandchildren, Jamie Brown, Clifton Brown, Leann Brown and their father, James Brown, Willow Springs, Mo., Joseph Stark, Jacob Stark, Nichole Stark and their father, Joe Stark, of Birch Tree, Mo., David Sweezer of Mexico, Mo., Jason Collins of Branson, Mo., Gwen Brott, Brandon Brott, Sierrah Brott, and their father, Bob Brott, Branson, Mo., Telonna Brott, Ashley Brott and Levi Brott, all of Branson, Mo., Austin Collins, Candice Collins, Maleiya Collins, Darrick Collins and Taylor Collins, all of Mountain View, Mo., and Hope Collins of Pomona, Mo.; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Paul M. Collins, Pomona, Mo., Roger L. Collins, wife, Harrieta, of Bakersfield, Mo., and Ival Collins, wife, Mary, Caulfield, Mo.; two sisters, Loeta White and Naomi Painter, both of West Plains, Mo.; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. His parents, one grandson, Michael Brott and two brothers, Leon and Alonzo Collins, precede him in death. Burial will be at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
Funeral services for Christina Faye Collins, 66, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 1, 2013, in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Collins died at 9:55 a.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born January 15, 1947, at Willow Springs, Missouri, to Dave Elick Collins and Aleatha Freida Mae Johnson Collins. On May 22, 1965, she was married at Salem, Arkansas, to Doyle Ray Collins, who preceded her in death on June 13, 2009. Mrs. Collins was a Christian and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by eight children, Rodney Lynn Collins, Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Allisa Christine Sisco, husband, Jim, West Plains, Missouri, Carmen Renae McCrone, husband, Jeff, Clearmont, Florida, Betty Lahoma Sweezer, husband, David, Mexico, Missouri, Freida Doylene Brott, significant other, Eric Dike, Bentonville, Arkansas, Steven Ray Collins, West Plains, Missouri, Alfred Matthew Collins, State of Tennessee and Bradley Aaron Collis, wife, Melissa, West Plains, Missouri; nineteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and two on the way; three sisters, Susan Adams, husband, Francis, Willow Springs, Missouri and Dorothy Collins, Willow Springs, Missouri and Merilyn Vermillion, Grove Springs, Missouri; one brother, Larry Collins, West Plains, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband and grandmother that raised her, Ada Marshall, precede her in death.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Howell Memorial Park Cemetery.
