Norma Lea Collins of West Plains, Missouri passed away at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri at 8:00 p.m. on January 2, 2012. Norma Lea Collins was born October 28, 1942 in Howell County, the youngest child of Shelt and Katie Collins.
She was married to Delmar Collins on September 29, 1959, who preceded her in death May 15, 2010.
They had four children, Greg Collins and wife, Myra, of West Plains, Brenda Collins of West Plains, Jody James and Brandon Bates of West Plains, and Kay Collins of West Plains. She had nine grandchildren and eight great grand children.
She is survived by one brother, Billy Collins and wife, Darlene, of West Plains; four sisters, Imogene Goss of West Plains, Laverne Brooks of West Plains, Lillian Shepard of Wabash, Indiana, and Bernice Daugherty of Imperial, Missouri.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her Dad and Mom, and one brother, Cleo Collins.
She enjoyed puzzle books and working with her flowers in her yard. She was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 4th from 6-8 p.m. at Carter Funeral Home Chapel.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery on Thursday, January 5, 2012, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.

Graveside services for Delmar Harold Collins, 78, West Plains, Mo., were Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery with Brother Lloyd Collins officiating, under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
He was born the son of the late Lee Collins and Alta Collins Collins, on Sept. 30, 1931, in Douglas County, Mo., and died May 15, 2010, in West Plains, Mo. He was united in marriage Sept. 29, 1959, in West Plains, Mo., to Norma Lea Collins.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Collins of West Plains; four children, Greg Collins, and wife, Myra, of West Plains, Brenda Collins and Bob Ruengert of West Plains, Jody James and Brandon Bates of West Plains, and Kay Collins of West Plains; one brother, Dophis Collins, and wife, Leah, Willow Springs, Mo.; two sisters, Etta Coursey of West Plains, and Lucille Blattel of Springfield, Mo.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
He served his country during the Korean War with the U.S. Army. He loved to raccoon hunt.
Burial was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, Howell County, Mo., under the direction of Carter Funeral Home, Inc., West Plains.
