RAY C. Fields

Ray C. Fields, 73, Springfield, died Sunday, June 19, 1994, in Springfield Community Hospital.

He was born dec. 17, 1920, in Springfield, the son of Abraham and Delphia Fields. Mr. Fields was a World War II veteran. On June 22, 1940, he was united in marriage to Jewell Fields, who preceded him in death, June 6, 1993.

He lived for many years in chicago, where he worked as a roofer before returning to this area in 1983.

Survivors include four children, Sandy Smith, Springfield, Dennis Fields, Ozark, Donna Morris, Century, Fla., and Debbie Robison, Pleasant Hope; nine grandchildren, Jeff and David Smith, Julie Bryant, Laura Davidson, Billy, Russell and Paul Fields, Erik Pelikant, and Stacy Robison; five great-grandchildren, Alisa and Tyler Smith, Alyssa Fields, Jonathon Fields, and Hannah Bryant; a sister, Belle Brown, Buffalo; and a brother, Ralph Fields, Pleasant Hope.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark, with the Rev. Frank Ross officiating. Burial will be in Selmore Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Services for Jewell Fields. Springfield, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Adams Funeral Home, Ozark. Burial will be in Selmor Cemetery, south of Ozark.

Mrs. Fields, a homemaker, died at 5 p.m. Sunday in Woodland Manor.

Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
