Services were held in the chapel of the Original German Funeral Home Sunday, August 29, 1971, at 2:00 p.m. for Mrs. Allie D. Copeland, who died Friday, August 27, at her home in Steele. Rev. Joe Smith, assisted by the Rev. James F. McCrary, conducted the services. Mrs. Copeland was 90 years old at the time of her death.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Fred Mathews, Sikeston, Mrs. B.H. Shielly, Steele, and Mrs. James Reid of Ashtabula, Ohio; two sons, Kermit Copeland of Gaines, Mich., and Earl B. Copeland of Sikeston. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Burial was in Holly Cemetery in Steele, Missouri. Pallbearers were Thelbert Bishop, Cecil Brown, Elwood Scott, Marshall Cameron, Bob Burton, Jr., and Willie D. McDaniel.
The Original German Funeral Home of Steele was in complete charge of arrangements.
