Jeff Northern, 86 of Steele, Mo. died October 19, 1988, at Mississippi County Hospital in Blytheville.

Born August 9, 1902 in Holand, Mo, he was the son of Powell and Lou Heathcock Northern. A member of Samford Church of Christ, he was a retired farmer in the Hermondale community.

He was preceded in death by this first wife, and second wife, Mrs. Rena Waldrop Northern, and a son Jimmy Northern.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Sue Taylor and Mrs. Gilberta Bradford, both of Steele, Mo, and Mrs. Pagie Moore of Fresno, Calif; two sons, Buddy Northern of West Covina, Calif, and Louis Northern of Steele, Mo., 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were held October 22, 1988, at 10:00 am. at John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, Mo., Walther Lumpkin officiating, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Steele, Mo.,

Pallbearers were Willam and Larry Waldrop, Butch and Randy Bradford, Gary Bruton and Ray Cook.

Service for Mrs. Rena L. Northern held Saturday July 3

Funeral services for Mrs. Rena L. Northern,81 were held Saturday July 3 at 2:00 pm. at the Church of Christ in Holland. Mrs. Northern was born May 11, 1902, at Braggcico and died at the Chickasawba Hospital in Blytheville. She was a member of the Holland Church of Christ.
The daughter of the late Anderson and Susie Waldrop, was united in marriage to Jeff Northern at Kennett, June 15, 1942. A son, Jimmy Northern, preceded her in death January 5, 1964.
She leaves her husband Jeff Northern of Steele;
Three daughters, Mrs. Sue Taylor of Steele, Mrs. Pagie Moore of Fresno, California, and Mrs. Gilberta Bradford of Steele;
Two Sons, Buddy Northern of West Covina, California and Lewis Northern of Steele;
One brother Clell Waldrop of Holland; Two sisters, Mrs. Etta Davis of Sunnyvale, California, and MRs. Nora Nunnery of Holland;
Thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Butch Bradford, Randy Bradford, Larry Waldrop, Willim Waldrop, Ray Cook, and Gary Brintin.
Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Steele, Mo. with the John W. German Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
