Funeral services for Mrs. Jeff Northern aged 31 years, 8 months, who died Sunday afternoon at five o'clock in the Blytheville hospital were held here Monday afternoon in the Baptist Church by Rev. J.W. Cunningham, pastor of the Steele Baptist Church.
Mrs. Northern has lived most of her life here and she became a member of the local Baptist Church in 1929. Her death resulting from a short illness, was attributed to pneumonia.
Surviving the deceased is her mother, Mrs. Susie Waldrop, her husband, Jeff Northern, and six children, Sue Dorothea, Buddy, Pagie Lou, Gilberta Joe, Louis Waldrop and two weeks old baby boy, James Arnold; also four sisters, Mrs. Avis Shelton of Steele, Mrs. Rena Powell, Mrs. Etta Stewart and Mrs. Nora Nunnery and two brothers, Lee and Clell all of Holland.

Holland, Mo.- Mrs. Elsie Bernice Northern was born August 6, 1904 at Braggadocio and died April 12, 1936, at the Blytheville hospital, where she had been for several days under treatment. She has been sick at her home in Holland for several weeks. She was married to Jeff Northern June 9, 1923 and they had six children, all of whom survive. She had been a member of the Baptist church here since 1929.
Funeral services were held at the local Baptist church Monday afternoon by the pastor, the Rev. J.B. Cunningham and interment was in Mt. Zion cemetery.
Surviving are her husband and six children, Sue Dorothy, Buddy, Peggy Lou, Gilbert Joe, Louis Waldrop and James Arnold, also her mother, Mrs. Susie Waldrop; four sisters, and two brothers and a host of other relatives and friends.
