Donna and her unborn baby were found murdered on July 17, 1962, at Thousand Hills State Park in Adair County, Missouri. Her husband had reported her missing in Oklahoma on October 27, 1961.

Donna was reported missing on 27 Oct 1961 in Oklahoma by her husband. On 17 Jul 1962 her body was found at Thousand Hills State Park in Adair County, Missouri. She had been floating in a 30 gallon barrel. The body was badly decomposed, flesh was emulsive, only a small piece of the scalp with hair was saved. Adult bones and unborn baby was salvaged. Adult skull had a large hole on the right side, just below the temporal area and dislocated right jaw.
