Ruby was the daughter of Severinus Rene Burchett (1856-1907) and Mary Edith (Kimberly) Burchett (1864-1941).

Ruby had the following known children by her first husband, Arthur Smith:

Reva Lorene (Smith) Nichols 1920-2012
Glen Warner "Buster" Smith 1923-1970
Hal Dean Smith 1929-1981

Ruby is actually buried at Ringo Point Cemetery in Adair County, Missouri, by her first husband Arthur Glen Smith. Her second husband Joseph Winslow is buried here at Bethel Cemetery. Apparently, the stone pictured on this memorial was made for both Joseph Winslow and Ruby, in anticipation of Ruby being buried here. Because she was not buried here, her death date of 1990 was not engraved on this stone.
