Services for Junior Jennings, 60, of Frankford was held at 2 pm Friday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Frankford. The Rev. Bill Miller officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Frankford. Mr. Jennings died May 22, 1990, at the University of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia. He was born Oct. 3, 1929, in Eminence to Edward Green and Fannie A. Wilkins Jennings. He was married to Luceal (Tooter) Smith on July 8, 1950, in New London. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Roger Jennings, Robby Jennings and Rodney Jennings, all of Frankford; three daughters, Louise Simpson of Hannibal, Jeannie Gehringer of Vandalia and Donna Kay Finnigan of New Longdon; four brothers, Elbert Jennings and Raymond Dale Jennings, both of Frankford, Denver Jennings of Brundidge, Ala., and Ivan Jennings of Brooks, KY; one sister, Clara Atkins of Memphis, TN; and six grandchildren. Mr. Jennings was a past member of the Fraternity of Eagles Lodge in Hannibal. He owned and operated Jennings Saw Mill in Frankford for several years. He played lead guitar and mandolin in his own band, "String Buster." He also played in several other area country/western bands. Visitation was from 6 pm to 9 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Pallbearers were Harold (Skidrow) Hedgpeth, Ray Love, Mac Marshall, Clarence Fisher, John Scherder, Donnie Brewer, Rober Wallace and Wayne Zumwalt.
