Thursday, August 14, 1997: Mr. Kenneth L. Berry, 70, of Blytheville, Ark., and former longtime resident of Holland, Mo., died early Tuesday, August 12, 1997, at his home.
Mr. Berry was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a farmer and ginner.
He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lysander Berry.
A granddaughter, Brooke Berry, also preceded him in death.
Mr. Berry leaves his wife of 48 years, Mrs. Mary McCann Berry, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Sonny and Gail Berry of Blytheville; a daughter, Mrs. Melinda Berry Thomas, of Blytheville; three grandchildren: Allison Berry, Kelly Thomas, and Christopher Thomas, all of Blytheville; and two-sisters-in-law: Mrs. Helen Lawler and Mrs. Margaret "Pog" Childers, of Cooter, Mo.
Funeral services for Mr. Berry were to have been held August 13, 1997 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Thad Grimstead and the Rev. Bill Williams officiating.
Burial was to have been at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Mo., with Cobb Funeral home of Blytheville in charge.
