Mary Anna Berry, 82, of Blytheville, Arkansas, passed from this life Tuesday, November 18, 2014, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
She was born in Cooter, Missouri, to Elvis and Opal (Howard) McCann, and was an area resident all of her life.
Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth Berry, Sr., a granddaughter Brooke Berry, a sister Helen Lawler, and brother- in- law Kenneth Lawler.
Survivors include her son Kenneth "Sonny" Berry, Jr. and his wife Gail of Nashville, TN; a daughter Melinda Berry Porter and her husband Charles of Blytheville; a sister Margaret "Pog" Childers and her husband Marvin of Cooter; three grand-children, Allison Berry Hadley and her husband Benson, Kelly Porter, Christopher Thomas; two great grand-children, Elizabeth Brooke Hadley, Emelia Berry Hadley; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blytheville, and was the organist at the Holland Methodist Church for 20 years. Her love of music started as a little girl when she started playing the piano, then as a young adult she learned to play the organ. She was a member of the Steele Book Club for many years, loved to play cards, and was a member of 2 bridge clubs. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Funeral services were at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele, Missouri.
