Thursday, July 10, 2003: LeRoy Dugan Jarred, 71, of Steele, Mo., died Thursday, July 3, 2003, at his home.
Born Monday, April 4, 1932 in Denton, Mo., he was the son of the late Pleas Jarred and Pearl Brumley Jarred.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Henry Jarred; one sister, Ima Jean Jarred; and one grandchild, Matthew Jarred.
He was a retired auto body repairman.
Mr. Jarred leaves three sons: Gary Jarred, Wayne Jarred, and Jimmy Jarred of Steele; five daughters: Gayla Boone, Vickie Glidewell, Tina Heaton, and Mary Jane Bomar of Steele, and Lila Faye Smith of Blytheville, Ark.; one brother, Lesper Jarred, of Steele; two sisters: Glenda Peters of Caruthersville, Mo., and Donna Ward of Steele; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Jarred were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2003, at the Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Pastor Danny Lacer officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with Bradshaw-Powell Funeral Home of Steele in charge.
Pallbearers were Todd Mays, Buzz Mays, Dallas Jarred, Kris Robinson, Eugene Peters, and Greg Peters.
