John Bumpas, 76, died at a hospital near his home in Inkster, Mich., Monday after a lengthy illness.
The body arrived at the German Funeral Home in Steele Thursday afternoon and funeral services will be held today (Friday) at German Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m.
Mr. Bumpus lived at Cooter until about ten years ago when he moved to Michigan.
Survivors include his wife, a brother, Walter Bumpus, of Memphis and two sisters, Mrs. Nora Fowler and Mrs. Florence Graham of this vicinity.
