Lillian McDaniel, 93, of Steele, died Friday, July 7, 2000, at Advance Nursing Center in Advance.
She was born November 4, 1906, in Randolph, Miss., the daughter of the late Chesterfield Turner and the late Juricha Wilson Turner.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Steele and a member of the Eastern Star. She was employed in retail until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her husband Carl McDaniel.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services were held Monday, July 10, 2000, 1 p.m., at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele, with Rev. Michael Funderburk officiating. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele.

Funeral services for Carl J. McDaniel, 63, were held May 20, 1967 at the Baptist Church with Rev. J. F. McCrary officiating, assisted by Rev. Glenn Harwood.
Burial was at Mt. Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McDaniel was born November 19, 1903, in Toccopola, Miss. He moved here in 1922. He was united in marriage to the former Lillian Turner on September 14, 1924. They have owned and operated McDaniel's Thrift Shop for the past 20 years. He died May 18, 1967 at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti after a lengthy illness.
Mr. McDaniel was a member of First Baptist Church and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
Pallbearers were Homer Alexander, Vernon Crews, Howard McCollum, Grady Anderson, Bert Wells, and Bynum Hester.
He leaves his wife, Lillian McDaniel, Steele; one brother, Star McDaniel, Hayti; and two sisters, Leona Spain, Jackson, Miss.; and Myrtle Hodges, Toccopola, Miss.
