Funeral services for Michael Wayne McCaig were held last Wednesday morning at 11 A.M., in the H.S. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Connie Wyatt and Bishop John H. Merryman.
He was born in Trenton, Tenn. on March 20, 1957 and died in Caruthersville, Mo. on May 21, 1972 at the age of 15 years, 2 months and 1 day. He was the son of Mrs. Maude McCaig and the late Charles H. McCaig. He formerly attended the McCarty School.
His survivors are: his step-father-Robert Simpson of Caruthersville, Mo.; five brothers-Charles Mack McCaig of Caruthersville, Mo., Roger Joe McCaig of Caruthersville, Mo., Eugene McCaig of Caruthersville, Mo., David Wayne McCaig of Caruthersville, Mo. and Herbert Wallace McCaig of Caruthersville, Mo.; eleven sisters-Peggy Gail McCaig, Dementra McCaig, Donna Jean McCaig, Rebecca McCaig, Joyce Opal Simbson, Charlotte Simpson, Lena Georgia Simpson, Rhonda Jean simpson, Mrs. Katherine Morgan, Mrs. Virginia Hamm, all of Caruthersville, Mo. and Mrs. Edith Nell Duncan of Black Oak, Ark.; four step-brothers-James Edward McCaig of Chicago, Ill., Willie McCaig of Rutherford, Tenn., Billy Joe McCaig of Caruthersville, Mo., and Thomas Neal McCaig of No. 9 Ark.; his grandparents-Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Singleton of Caruthersville, Mo.
Interment was held in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
