Funeral services were conducted Friday, April 5, 1974 at 2:00 p.m. for William Green Evans of Advance, Mo., a former Steele resident.
He was born December 29, 1893 at Morganfield, Ky., and died April 4, 1974, at the Veterans Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
Mr. Evans leaves one daughter, Mrs. Verna Vonder Bruegge of St. Louis; and two grandchildren, Mrs. Darlene Winkler and Harold Vonder Bruegge of St. Louis.
The Rev. Fred Albright officiated the rites in the chapel of the German-Aumon Funeral Home in Steele. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery with German-Aumon Funeral Home of Steele in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Bill Rehkoph, Joe Parker, Harold Winkler, Harold Ethridge, Harold Merick, Jr., and Francis Hulholf.
