Funeral services were held June 2, 1960 for Jessie William Owens, who died May 19 in Flint, Mich. Mr. Owens was born in Paducah, Kentucky to Fred and Mattie Owens. He was 59 years of age at the time of his death.
Services were at German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Rev. Harold Brent of Yarbro, Ark., officiating. Interment was in the Mount Zion Cemetery with the German Funeral Home in charge.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Lula Owens, of Flint, Michigan; two sons, Jessie Owens and Shelton Owens, both of Flint; two daughters, Mrs. Burlon Flowers of Yarbro, Arkansas, and Mrs. Marine Smith of Flint; 12 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Elmer Owens of RoEllen, Tennessee and Neeley Owens of Caruthersville.

Funeral services were held Thursday, July 9, 1964 at the German Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Lula Owens of Flint, Mich.
Burial was at Mount Zion Cemetery with German Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Born December 15, 1891, she was 69 years, six months and 21 days of age at the time of her death. She died July 6, 1964 in Flint, Mich.
Pallbearers were Johnnie Johnson, Grover Whittle, Cecil Johnson, L.T. Burnham, Billy Joe Nelson, and Bufford Flowers.
She leaves two sons of Chio, Mich., two daughters, 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister.
