Funeral services for John William Wallace were held at the Church of God in Holland Sunday, July 15, 1962 at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. James Patterson of Holland officiated. Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery of Steele, with the John W. German Mt. Zion Chapel of Steele in charge of services.
He was born in Baldwyn, Miss., February 27, 1899, and departed this life at his home in Holland July 13, 1962. He was 63 years, 2 months and 16 days of age. He was baptized about 20 years ago at Jonesboro, Ark., in the Pilgrim Holiness Church and moved to Holland about 14 years ago from Wilson, Arkansas.
Mr. Wallace leaves these to mourn his passing: his wife, Mrs. Gracie Wallace of Holland; two brothers, Jessie Wallace of Logansport, Ind., and George Wallace of Osceola, Ark.; sister, Mrs. Myrtle Groves of Holland and a host of other friends and relatives.
