Funeral services were held at the Steele Methodist Church Thursday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Marvin Niblack of St. Louis, former pastor, officiated, assisted by present pastor, Rev. Howard Conner. Interment was in the Holly Cemetery with German Funeral Home of Steele in charge. Pallbearers were members of the Steele Post Office staff and the mail carriers. Graveside services were conducted by Steele Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are his wife, the former Minnie Pounds; a son, William Warren Wallace, St. Charles; a daughter, Mrs. William H. Davis, Desoto, Mo.; five grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Gussie Overturf of Steele.
