OBITUARY:
"Funeral services for Paul Clifford Pinkston will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday September 1, 1983 at the Hudson-Rimer Park View Chapel at Kirksville with the Rev. Beryl Cragg and the Rev. Charles L. Lamason officiating. Burial will be in the Park View Memorial Gardens. Bearers will be Cecil Rehm, Dick Bunch, Raymond Salter, Rex Meline, Fred Barker and David Stutsman.
Mr. Pinkston, 73, of Brashear died at 6 p.m. Monday August 29, 1983 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
The son of Charles Eppy and Naoma Ethel (Krieger) Pinkston, he was born November 8, 1909 in Adair County. On March 10, 1931 at Peoria, Illlinois he married Effie Burdick who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Clifford Paul Pinkston of Brashear and Charles Lynn Pinkston of Princeville, Illinois; a daughter Betty Roberts of Bryant, Illinois; a brither, Charles LaVerne Pinkston of LaPlata; two sisters, Mrs. Earl (Lucille) Ross of Brashear and Mrs. Earl (Neve) Moore of Kirksville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Pinkston lived his earlier years in the Peoria, Illinois area and was engaged in farming for about 30 years. He was also employed by the railroad.
He moved to the Brashear community about fifteen years ago, and for the past few years he had been custodian at the Brashear High School. "
