Mary Ann Boone, 64, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at her home in Cooter. She was born Feb. 6, 1951, in Wardell to Mary Ellen Gaskins Petty and William Walter Petty. She was united in marriage to Larry Boone on Nov 5, 1966, in Tyler. She was a homemaker, mother and member of the Oak Ridge Methodist Church.
Mrs. Boone was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ellen and William Walter Petty; one sister, Ruth Ann McCracken, and one brother, Dewey Petty.
Survivors of Mrs. Boone include her husband, Larry Boone; three sons, Larry Dewayne Boone, Gregory Boone and Joey Boone; one daughter, Regina Boone; six grandchildren, Mark Galbraith, Scott Boone, Brent Galbraith, Jonathan Boone, Tiffany Boone and Cierra Boone; two great-grandchildren, Jaxon Galbraith and Marley Galbraith; three brothers, Bub Petty, John Henry Petty and Jack Petty; four sisters, Mary Jane Leichleiter, Margie Brown, Francis Petty and Candy Solis, and a host of friends and relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Boone were held Friday, Nov. 6 at John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Mr. Robert Travis officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Cory Hinklin, Daniel Hinklin, Jonathan Boone, Mark Galbraith, Brent Galbraith and Scott Boone. Honorary pallbearers were Dennis Hudson and Lee Kelley.
John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
