James Wilburn Morrow, 82, of Steele, died Monday, March 7, 2011 in Jackson, Tenn.
Born Sept. 9, 1928 in Booneville, Miss., he is the son of the late Cody Morrow and Claudia Brown Morrow Thompson.
He was also preceded in death by two daughters, Judy Morrow Love and Barbara Morrow; one son, James Ronald Morrow; four brothers, Lawrence, Jewel, Billy and Eugene Morrow; and three sisters, Molly Morrow, Arne Spencer and Evelyn Morrow.
James was married to Mary Frances Morrow for 59 years. She preceded him in death.
He moved to Steele in 1949 and then in 1956 he moved to Blytheville, Ark., where he lived most of his life.
He was a farmer, a loving father and grandpa.
He loved life and his Lord, and was of Pentecostal faith.
Mr. Morrow leaves one grandson, Guy Cutshall III, of Armorel, Ark.; Three step-daughters: Louise Cross of Hayti, and Betty Johnson and Shirley Mays, both of Steele; Three special friends: Floyd Cutshall, Travis Horton and Joseph Horton, all of Armorel; His lovable loyal companion dog, Silver; and many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Morrow were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday March 9, at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel in Steele with Pastor Danny Lacer officiating.
Burial was at the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
