Funeral service for John Lawrence Morrow was held Saturday, January 24, at the German-Aumon Funeral Home Chapel in Steele, Rev. Charles E. Crews officiated.
Mr. Morrow was born July 4, 1914 at Booneville, Miss. and died January 21, 1981 at the Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital at Hayti. He was 66.
He leaves his wife, Mary Morrow of the home; Eleven children: Barbara, Laura, and Terry Morrow, all of Steele, Mrs. Hazel Buress, Mrs. Patty Parker, Mrs. Lillian Haynie, Mrs. Mary Clark, Johnie and Bobby Morrow, all of Corinth, Miss., Mrs. Jo Ann Butler of Jacksonville, N.C. and Mrs. Becky Lindsey of Memphis, Tenn.; One sister, Mrs. Arnie Spencer of Corinth; Two brothers, Wilborn Morrow of Blytheville and Bill Morrow of Corinth; Six step-children: Shirley Burse, Carolyn Burse, Gladys Bass, Ronald Monroe, Lloyd Monroe, and Cecil Monroe; Nineteen grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Keith Brooks, Anthony Morrow, Jerry Spencer, Jimmy Butler, Timmy Butler, Danny Spencer, Thomas Morrow, and Jim Burress.
Burial was in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele with the German-Aumon Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
