L.A. Poole, a retired farmer of the Cooter community, died Tuesday, October 7, 1975, in the Methodist Hospital in Memphis at the age of 77. He was born near Bald Knob, AR and came to this area in 1908. He was a member of Tyler Baptist Church.
His wife of 57 years, Mary Lumley Poole, preceeded him in death one week. Also preceeded in death by his young son, Marvin Poole.
Mr. Poole leaves three sons: J.W. Poole, Elvis Poole, and G.W. Poole, all of Cooter; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 10, at Tyler Baptist Church with Rev. David Hart officiating.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Seele, MO with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville, AR in charge of arrangements
Mary Poole was a homemaker of the Cooter community, died Tuesday, September 30, 1975, at the age of 75. She was born in Tennessee and a member of Tyler Baptist Church.
Mrs. Poole is preceded in death by her young son Marvin Poole
She leaves her husband of 57 years, L.A. Poole, of Cooter. They were married January 21, 1918 at Tyler, MO
Mrs. Poole also leaves three sons: J.W. Poole, Elvis Poole, and G.W. Poole, all of Cooter; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 3, at Tyler Baptist Church with the Rev. David Hart officiating.
Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele, MO with Cobb Funeral Home of Blytheville, AR in charge of arrangements.
