Floyd Jesse Walls, 93 of Mtn. Grove, MO passed away on Friday, August 6, 2010 at the Autumn Oaks Caring Center. He was born on December 30, 1916 at Sargent, MO the son of James Thomas and Janie (Brown) Walls.
Floyd attended the Victor school through the 8th grade.
He professed his faith in Christ at the age of 13 at Mt. Pisgah Church. On Oct. 15, 1936 he was united in marriage to Wilma Grace Branson and to this union three children were born. They started their life together at Victor where they farmed and in 1947 they bought a farm near Mt. Pisgah Church where they lived until moving to Cabool in 1956. In 1974 they moved to Mtn. Grove where he remained until his death.
Floyd served as a deacon at Mt. Pisgah and Cornerstone Freewill Baptist Churches since May 2, 1948 and he taught Sunday School classes for 13 years at Autumn Oaks Caring Center. He dedicated his life to his family and following his faith.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Wilma of the home; his children, Gene Walls and wife, Ruby, Ronnie Walls and wife, Carletta and Barbara Gasperson and husband, Jerry; his grandchildren, Ronda Targhetta and husband, Brad, Rodney Walls and wife, Teresa, Ricky Walls, Joanna Owens and Kelly Branen and husband, Steve; great grandchildren, Mandy Darr and husband Cory, Wade Joiner and wife, Jamie, Jamie Hershberg and husband, Evan, Alicia Mullins, Jennifer Targhetta, Dolores Adrian, Steven Walls, Brittany Adrian, Michaela Branen, Brian Walls, Lyndee Branen and Kaylyn Branen; 10 great great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Wilma Grace (Branson) Walls, daughter of the late Ames and Maude (Collins) Branson, was born on May 11, 1919 in Clarinda, Iowa. She departed this life on October 20, 2016 at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri, surrounded by her family. She was 97 years, 5 months, and 8 days of age.
Wilma married the love of her life, Floyd J. Walls, on October 15, 1936. They enjoyed 74 wonderful years together. Three children were born to this union: Charles Eugene, Floyd Ronald, and Barbara Ann. Wilma and Floyd started farming together in Victor and then bought a farm near Mt. Pisgah church, north of Cabool, in 1947. They moved to Cabool in 1956 and then moved to Mountain Grove in 1974.
Wilma accepted Christ as her Savior at an early age at Mt. Pisgah church. She was still attending church at Mt. Pisgah at the time of her passing. She was an active member of the Ladies Aid group at the church most of her life. Wilma also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and working on embroidery in her spare time. She truly enjoyed life.
Besides her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd on August 6, 2010, a daughter-in-law, Ruby Walls, a son-in-law, Jerry Gasperson, a great-granddaughter, Crystal Dawn, three brothers, Cleo, Homer, and Joe, and two sisters, Mazie and Ruth.
She is survived by her sons, Gene Walls of Brighton, Illinois, and Ronnie Walls and his wife, Carletta, of Collinsville, Oklahoma, her daughter, Barbara Gasperson, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, five grandchildren, Ronda Targhetta and her husband, Brad, Rodney Walls and his wife, Teresa, Kelly Branen and her husband, Steve, Rick Walls, and Jo Anna Gasperson, her great-grandchildren, Mandy Darr, Wade Joiner, Jennifer Selley, Jamie Walls, Steven Walls, Michaela Branen, Lyndee Branen, Kaylyn Branen, Brian Walls, Alicia Hicks, Dolores Adrian, and Brittany Shannon, her great-great-grandchildren, Cassidie, Kylee, Kelcee, Corey, Jamison, Riley, Levi, Zane, Keyonna, Ellery, Samantha, and Gracie, and many other family, friends, and church family who will miss her dearly.
