Funeral services for Trula May Barnes, 92, West Plains, Missouri, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 13, 2015 in the Rose Chapel at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnes passed away at 12:05 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at Ozarks Medical Center.
She was born September 12, 1923, at Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Hodge England and Ollie Hall England. On December 15, 1945, she was married at West Plains, to Albert Harlin Barnes, who preceded her in death on October 12, 1996. Mrs. Barnes held many positions throughout her lifetime, including working in a garment factory during World War II, International Shoe Factory and Fair View School. She enjoyed fishing, singing, cheerleading, picking blackberries and an occasional trip to Branson. Mrs. Barnes was a supporter for Sporting Chance and Special Olympics. She was very proud of her American Indian heritage. Mrs. Barnes was a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Her parents, husband, son, Larry Barnes, great-granddaughter, Kimberly Johnson and all of her siblings, precede her in death. [robertsondrago.com]
